Zhangjiajie National Forest park is located in the northwest of Wulingyuan It covers about 72,000 acres. 97 percent of the park is covered with plants. Gymnosperm species in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park takes up half of the total in the world. It was listed as a national park in 1982. Ten years later it was approved on the UNESCO's World Heritage List for its unique "peak forests of quartz sandstone". The most notable scenery is the queer peaks, tranquil water and beautiful forests. Besides abundant natural resources, the park is also famous for its beautiful and unique scenery.
There are many famous tourists’ attraction includes the Baofeng Lake, the Huanglong Cave, and many beautiful waterfalls and brooks.
