During the Chinese New Year, visitors will have a unique experience in Wuzhen Water Town. Traditional customs of the lunar New Year holidays are inherited in the town. The most indispensable one is the well-known braised sheep.   In Xizha, every house is pasting spring couplets and setting off fireworks. Locals will hold dinner and invite friends home and abroad to celebrate the most important festival in China.   Other activities in the town: worshipping the kitchen god (Dec.23 on the lunar new year); burning the first incense, watching traditional Chinese opera and attending the temple fair.
