Lake Karakuri is located under the “father of iceberg” Mount Mu Shi Ta Ge. It is 191km from the Kashgar city and the bus street is through the lake. Karakuri means the Black Sea, the altitude is 3600m and the depth of the lake is 30m. It occupies about 10million square km. Karakuri is the alpine lake which is mere in the world. The lake is surrounded by frozen snow mountains especially the Gong Ge Er Peak, Gong Ge Er Jiu Bie Peak and Mu Shi Ta Ge Peak make the lake more beautiful. Shimmering ripples delight the eyes with the mysterious and magnificent Mu Shi Ta Ge Peak and it is gorgeous. There are yurts and barracks for tourists including delicious food with fresh vegetables and rubber boat is for tourists to wander on the lake. They can appreciate the beautiful scenery of Pamir Plateau.
