Dazu Rock Carvings can date back to the Tang and Song Dynasties. With a construction spanning over 250 years, it was excavated from 892 in the Tang Dynasty and was completed in 1142 in the Ming Dynasty. The Buddhist statues dominate in the cave, and the Taoist and the Confucian stone figures can also be seen. There are more than 4,600 statues. Since it was located in the mountain area and isolated from the outside world, Dazu Rock Carvings avoided being destroyed by wars.   Must Sees: 1.
