As a large-scale water conservancy project built in ancient China, the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project is still being used in 21st century's China. It is normally agreed that this project was built by the officer of Shu County, Libing and his son in around 256 BC. It is the only ancient water conservancy project existed in the world with the longest history. That is why this project also enjoys the fame of "the Originator of the water conservancy culture". The premise and the theme of the construction of Dujiangyan Irrigation is to protect the natural resources and fully make use of them, turn disadvantages into advantages and make the balance of human, earth and water.
