Lhasa Weather
Being 3,650 meters above sea level, Lhasa happens to have a similar climate to other areas which are not as high up. The duration of daylight counts for 3,000 hours per year, this makes Lhasa “Town of Sunshine”. The best weather conditions are in July, August and September when the climate is quite temperate but can be quite humid. In summer the rain is most frequent compared to the other seasons.
The best time to go:
Autumn is a wonderful season to tour Lhasa due to its graceful landscapes. In winter, due to fierce and unpredicted weather travelling around the area can be quite difficult and minimal. In the Linzhi Area it has its own protection of clouds where the atmosphere comforts people with cool summers and warm winters throughout the four seasons. If you want to take an adventure by climbing Mountain Everest, spring will be highly recommended as it is a lot safer for climbers.
