Jinshanling---a Finest Place for Climbing

Situated on the border between Luanping Country, Hebei Province and Miyun Country, Beijing.Jinshanling has been a popular Chinese tradition. Many visitors appear at the Jingshanling section of the Great Wall, since you can drive to the location from Beijing. It's noted for a tranquil atmosphere, combined with towers and exquisite architecture.

By climbing the Great Wall through the crenel, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery as you wind your way up through the clouds, and reach the Wangjing Tower that stands upon the mountain. We took an excursion and reached the Jiangjun Tower first. It used to be decorated gorgeously with cravings, but was destroyed during the Japanese invasion. Now, the tower remains faintly visible.

The Jingshanling part of the Great Wall is divided into two parts. The left side is in Hebei Province and the right side is in Beijing. Owing to a 400-year old history, .Xiyu Tower shows its historical charm, but debris and broken walls may shock travelers with its steep climb and desolate location.

It took us one hour to reach Xiaojinshan Tower. This tower was designed skillfully, and the apertures were also used as an entrance.Hiking on the Great Wall is fun and great for physical exercise. If you take cable cars down, you will observe new view of the scenery.

For functional purposes, the Jinshanling Great Wall does represent the military build-up of a strong national defense system. It played a critical role in China's history. For art's sake, the Jinshanling Great Wall is a proven masterpiece of ancient architecture. The brilliant decorations are unparalleled compared with other sections of the Great Wall.
