Welcome to Yunnan! In the morning, our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Kunming. We'll drive to Dali (4 hours), you’ll meet our Dali tour guide in Dali. We'll enjoy the beautiful view from the outside of the Chongshen Monastery Pagodas and check into a comfortable hotel. In the afternoon, we'll take a city tour in Dali old town to explore the old history of this famous town. In the evening, you can enjoy your free time in foreigner street or Renmin Road, there are lots of good cafe & bars and restaurants in this area.

Destinations: Dali to Shaxi

Activities:

After a tasty local breakfast, we'll go to Xizhou old town, take a visit to morning market to experience the traditional local life. And visit Bai-style traditional architectural courtyards, taste their fragrant Three-Course Tea and explore their distinctive culture. Then go to visit Zhoucheng Village and the Bai people's Tie-dying cloth workshop where you can take some special souvenir with the Bai ethnic style. If you are lucky, you may visit the Shaping Bazaar happened every Monday in Shangguan Town. Take cruise in Erhai Lake. During the Erhai Lake cruise, You will enjoy the Osprey Fishing Show, the green Cangshan Mountain and the Three Pagodas from far, and lots of birds and seagulls flying over the lake. Later in the afternoon, you will drive to Shaxi with the beautiful farmlands and ethnic villages on the way. Check in you hotel. The hotel or guesthouse is located at the centre of the town, you can visit Sideng Market place and Xingjiao Temple, which are located in the heart of the town; and hang around in Bai minority villages nearby close to Yunjin Bridge and Heihui River.

Destinations: Hike along the village of Maping Guan

Activities:

Today, you will hike with our tour guide and experience the old Horse and Tea Trade Route. We will hike along the village of Maping Guan, an extraordinary holdover from the old Horse and Trade period. This staunchly Bai village boasts a Confucian Temple, a shrine to the Guanyin Buddha as well as a traditional theater. Then we will come back to Sideng Market, you can relax and take your leisure time in this quiet town.

Destinations: Shaxi to Shangri-la

Activities:

After a tasty local breakfast, say goodbye to our Dali tour guide. Our driver will drive you to Tiger Leaping Gorge and you will meet our Shangri-la tour guide there. The guide will take you to visit TLG, it’s the deepest gorge in the world. After that, we will drive to Shangri-la, take a visit to the Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan monastery in Yunnan. Then you will be transferred to your hotel to have a good rest and free evening after 4 days tour.

Activities:

In the morning, we will visit Dukezong Tibetan Ancient Town and climb up to the top of Guishan Hill or tortoise Hill, see the largest Prayer Wheel of the world and have a panoramic view of Shangri-La county and Dukezong Tibetan Ancient Town. After that, we will have a Tibetan family visiting to have close contact with local Tibetan. After lunch, say goodbye to our Shangri-la tour guide, we will drive to Lijiang. On the way, you will have a sightseeing of the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery. Meet our Lijiang tour guide in Lijiang hotel.

In the morning, we'll visit the Black Dragon Pool and Dongba Museum to explore the rich Naxi minority culture. Then take a visit to the Jade Lake Village. It situated at the foot of Snow Mount Jade Dragon, about 40 minutes driving from Lijiang Old Town. From here, you will enjoy a fantastic view over the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You'll stroll through this quiet village and experience the local people’s life. And then pay a visit to Embroidery School of Mu’s Family to know the traditional Chinese embroidery in Baisha village. After lunch, you will have a Naxi family visiting in Baisha, and then visit the Baisha Mural about 600 years old, which is one part of the World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO 1997.

Free time in Lijiang ancient town in the morning, then transfer service from the hotel to the airport, take your flight back to next destination of back to your home.
