My wife, daughter, and I recently returned from a 10 days tour of China arranged by China Travel Depot. Overall, I thought China Travel Depot was an excellent value. We saw Beijing (4 days), Xian, Guilin, and Shanghai (3 nights each).

All of the meals were top of the line. My family is a little picky when it comes to food, but we were able to find something to eat everywhere. Also, the food prepared at the home visit in Xian was the best. We liked being in our own room especially with children as they could run around after the meal. The restaurant was very clean and the service was great.

The places we visited were interesting. The trip in Guilin is my favorite, especially the Cruise on Li River. All the mountains and water surrounding us is stunning, like paradise. No wonder it is praised as the best scenery in the world, as our tour guide told us. Our guide was fantastic. She answered all our questions and went out of her way to be helpful. She took us up to the gate at the station which would have been a nightmare if left by ourselves. She was lovely to the children, spoke very good English and had lots of local knowledge. She helped us in the shops and even carried one of our bags (we did lots of shopping). Cars were clean and the drivers were very friendly. Our children is missing her badly now.

We had a very good experience with your tour company from our first contact all the way to the end of the tour. We would highly recommend your tour company to anyone looking for a professional and friendly company. We very much appreciated all the emails back and forth till every detail was taken care of.
