Dear Tom,
I am still enjoying my memories from the wonderful trip that your company put together.I was very impressed with the professionalism of tour guides and also on how excellently the tour was put together. That is, the first part of it had a fast pace which later was balanced with a slower pace in the Yangtze tour boat. This gave a great balance.
Since I considered this trip my first introduction to China, I was pleased with the time allowed at each sightseeing spot. The only place that I would have spent more time at was the Forbidden city, but this is because I like museums a lot. Certainly I was able to see the two pieces that I already knew were at this locality. The time that you allowed at each sightseeing spot is enough to get a general idea of the place. Also since the tour guide mention in advanced what the high spot is you can focus on those points. I strongly recommend that the guides continue giving leads about the places while in the tour bus so that then time on the sight is better used.
In Beijing, I saw many ancient architectures with red walls and yellow roofs. In the new Qianmen Street, there are a lot of famous brand shops, in imitating traditional chinese architecture. I feel Lhasa is a magic city, and Potala Palace is massive with unique architecture style. I recorded my tour in many photos.
I was impressed on how professionally all aspects of the tour were handled from initial contacts, to constant follow ups, and great group of tour guides on each site. Transfers to each city were done very smoothly and this made a more enjoyable tour. Since all transfers also involved some sightseeing therefore even an airport route was painless.
Best Regards,
