Hi Julia,
Of course. My sister and I greatly enjoyed our trip and Tibet was one of the major highlights. Our guide was excellent. He took very good care of us and was very helpful that first day when we were getting acclimated to the altitude. He gave us some tips that made the transition a little easier.
Lhasa was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the Tibetans. I would say to be prepared for the altitude adjustment. We both took some time to get used to it. The Potola palace is worth the 380 steps that you must climb to get to the top. Give yourself some time to get up all of the stairs. Since it is the first day we weren't really ready for the climb. But the view and the palace itself were beautiful. Of the other sites I would say the Sera monastery was with its lively debates of the monks was our second favorite. We did try the local food and my favorite was Shaptak made with Yak. It was excellent and I would highly recommend it. Overall our experience in Tibet was great. I would have liked to seen more of the countryside but I guess that just means another trip.
If you are interested I did take some pictures which I have on my website. There are both pictures from Tibet and China.
Thank you once again for organising such an interesting tour for us, the whole service was excellent and we look forward to using the company again when we next go to China.
