Hi Tom,
Of course. My sister and I greatly enjoyed our trip and Tibet was one of the major highlights. Lhasa was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the Tibetans. I would say to be prepared for the altitude adjustment. We both took some time to get used to it. The Potola palace is worth the 380 steps that you must climb to get to the top. Give yourself some time to get up all of the stairs, and the view and the palace itself were beautiful. Of the other sites I would say the Sera monastery was with its lively debates of the monks was our second favorite. We did try the local food and my favorite was Shaptak made with Yak.
The Cruise along beautiful landmarks of Three Gorges was simply outstanding and memorable. The drive through the country side in open air bus was a hit, and the farm visit was very educational.
Shanghai present itself well and we would suggest all itineraries include it. The day time exhibits were all worth seeing (Museum, financial center, urban planning, Confucius temple). We especially liked the Yuyuan gardens. We went to see the acrobats. This will remain one of the highlight moments for all of us. - I would recommend that you try to include this in every itinerary and not leave it 'optional'. No one should miss this.
Overall our tour was great. It was excellent and I would highly recommend it. I would have liked to seen more of the countryside but I guess that just means another trip.
I would like to thank you as well for doing such a good job on all of the arrangements. It was a great trip. China is full of adventure and we both hope to return again in the future to explore your beautiful country.
Regards,
Pam Beauvais
