Suzhou is really a paradise on earth. The Grand Canal and a variety of exquisite gardens impressed us a lot. I have never seen a city with so many elaborate gardens which are quite different from those vast imperial gardens in Beijing. These classical gardens are not large, but are fancinating in their delicate design, containg hills, ponds, pavillions, corridors and doors. My favourite is Garden of Humble Administrator. The traditional Chinese drama, folk instrument performance were amazing too. What a good experience!
