Compared with the coastal area of China, the sceneries in the west region are much more desolate and rough. You, however, could never feel bored in the western China since there are so many things to experience, such as appreciating the desert stretching into the horizon, visiting the temple and the spring in the oasis, or exploring the cities with great history. No way is better than travelling along the ancient Silk Road to have a good understanding of western China.
