"Temple of Heaven."
In Temple of Heaven, I thought that we enjoyed the surrounding park even more. There were many people doing exercises, some played Chinese chess. Others kicked “jianzi” from one to another by their feet or head. I highly recommended the Temple of Heaven for those families travelling with children. Parents could enjoy the rich history and children could take part in some interesting activities.

"Lots of impressive buildings, also lots of people."
Forbidden City is our first attraction to do. Lots of impressive buildings, also lots of people. You know, it is CHINA. When we visit the temple of Heaven, I enjoy seeing the locals doing some excellent people watching entertainment, but the buildings are similar to other Chinese architectures.

"Beijing, rich in History."
Beijing, an ancient capital, is rich in History. You can find stories in every streets or “Hutong” and legends behind every door of its palaces. According to our guides, the imperial city is not with 9999 rooms as we expected. However, the size is still fabulous. Then, the temple of Heaven and the Lama Temple are also awesome. It is wonderful trip for me since I am a fan of Chinese architecture.

"I preferred Summer Palace."
Beijing, the capital of China, was home to 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Tian’an men Square is the largest one in the world and I took photos with Chairman Mao. Then, we entered the imperial city, red walls and golden roof. Quietly envied the emperors in the past. I preferred Summer Palace compared to the Forbidden City since there were more things related to life not political power in this garden.

"Economy Tour."
Forbidden City is a place to learn some history though I do not understand all of what it represented. Summer Palace is situated in the northwest part of Beijing and it is worth the 30RMB entrance fee. Palaces and gardens in China are all big, especially those built for the royal families. So, mind you: enough waters, comfortable shoes and cameras with adequate battery.

"Temple of Heaven was my favorite."
In Summer Palace, it was a great quiet walk around the lake area. It was fantastic to find such a peaceful place in this hustle and bustle city and among many tourist groups. Temple of Heaven was my favorite during our tour. We had chance to reach the history and to see the authentic Beijing. It was very interesting to watch locals sing, dance and do Taiji together.

"Forbidden City, a must see."
The Forbidden City is the largest ancient imperial city in the world and the best preserved in China. And that was my favorite. Since our time was limited, next time, I will try to spend a whole day here. In the afternoon, I did a tour in the Summer Palace, which was also a must see in Beijing. After this one day tour, I plan to watch the movie “The Last Emperor” again. Thank you for all your assistance in Beijing.

For most of the visitors, Forbidden City is the most important destination when you travel to Beijing. It was a place displaying the history of China and power of its emperors. There were so much to see in both the imperial city and the Garden. 2 hours were not enough. It was such a hot day in Beijing. However, when you had a sit besides the Kunming Lake, you would get refreshed. An ice cream was a good choice.

"My camera batteries have worn out."
The Forbidden City is located in the central of Beijing, in the past, the public were not allowed to go into the Palace. It was a place only for the Emperor and his Clan. The garden at the end of the palace is something not to be missed. I always heard Summer Palace from my friends who have been to China. This time is my turn and it is not a disappointment. There are lots of photo opportunities, so my camera runs out all the battery in the afternoon.

Dear Tom,
Special thanks to the driver in Beijing. From the first night Lilrose, Candi and Karen arrived. He went to the front desk with them and made sure they were checked before he left. He was gentleman from the first to the last day.

We would like to thank Annie and the driver for suggesting the show and waiting for us until the end. It was an excellent show. We would like to thank Dawn for answering all our questions about Chinese nutrition.

All the best,
Villacorte Matic, U.S.A
