Ciqikou Old Town is famous for its porcelain. In 1918, the local businessmen raised money to build a new factory to manufacture and trade porcelain.   The old town owns 12 lanes paved with large flagstones. Here you will find the majority building that can date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are many local shops for craftwork, groceries, roasted nuts and seeds. During the Chinese New Year, the traditional activity is temple fair, attracting more than 10,000 people.   The old town also features with many teashops and restaurants. Some of the tea houses have performances of traditional Chinese music and local opera. It is a good place to see more authentic Chongqing.
