Lhasa, an amazing capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, is an ancient city located in a pleteau with a time-honoured 1300 history. The famous attractions include Jokhang Temple and Ramoche Temple. And it’s adjacent to Potala Palace. What’s more important is that groups of monks who wear long robes and and dozens of Titetan who are in bright costumes may come into your eyes. The top attractions in Lhasa are Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Baguo Street and Sera Monastery.
                       
Altitude stress
Don’t worry too much about altitude stress which is regared as nomal phenomena. Remember to take some medicine whose effect is to ease altitude stress four days or one week prior to your trip. Never travel to Tibet when you have got a cold. If your catch a cold in Lhasa, you should go to hospital for transfusion and oxygen therapy as soon as possible, otherwise, more serious problems such as pneumonedema, emphysema will occur.
The security condition in Lhasa
Generally speaking, the security condition in Lhasa is fairly good in that the local people and monks are friendly to visitors. However, a small part of people who disguise themselves as Muslim to buy or sell by force and cheat visitors. Moreover, some cars with slogan of “Tibet Tour”don’t have operation permission. Do care with these people and cars. You may see some beggars, most of which are yong children and old women, wandering at street, so you can prepare more changes and candies before your trip.
Points for attention
1.    If you visit Lhasa in spring or autumn, it’s a wise decesion to take warm clothes, for temperature vares great between day and night.
2.    In summer, apart from summer clothing, pants, long-sleeve shirts,coat and sweaters are also suggested due to the cold night.
