The temperature in Hohhot varies considerably between day and night as much as 20℃. During winter temperatures can drop tofreezing temperatures ranging from -25℃ to -45℃, with blizzards occurring. From April to September, Hohhot has a rather pleasant and comfortable climate, which is ideal for outdoor enjoyment.
The best time to go:
During summer and autumn when thepampas have turned green and the herds have been put out to pastures. Between July and August, Naadamis held as a traditional festival in Magnolia, which includes three games of wrestling, horse racing and archery. This attracts tens of thousands of people into the pampas to watch this event. Besides, the sacred Buddhist temples whichcaptivate your soul, there arebright totems and golden sculptures under the warm sunshine which present a mystique over the city.
