Haikou Amusement
Haikou has a rich nightlife just as many other southern cities in China. It is always full of fun whether you are in a local bar or in a lively nightclub. Bars of Haikou city are mainly concentrated in the Bar Street in East Road of Haidian Island. The street is not long, and it’s just about 10 minutes’ walk. The Haikou most unique bars are mostly located in the southern end of the Century Bridge and seaside adjacent to the Ever Green Park. Coconut Festival
Time: Lunar March 3
Introduction: Hainan Island is also known as "Coconut Island", the coconut tree is a symbol of Hainan. In late March or early April each year, Hainan International Coconut Festival will be held in Haikou. This is a large-scale international business tourism and cultural festival which combines tourism, culture, folklore, sports, economy together, attracting large numbers of domestic and international travelers.
Fucheng Flower Exchanging Festival
Time: Lunar January 15
Introduction: During the festival, people from Qiongshan District will gather together to participate in flowers exchanging activity and the main variety of flowers is rose. People express best wishes for the coming year life through the exchange of flowers. This festival is also local Valentine's Day, young men and women express their inner feelings to their lovers by exchanging flowers. After the exchange, tens of thousands of people will stroll in the flower market, eat snacks and dance to the rhythm of music. This traditional activity began in the Tang Dynasty and already has 1000 years’ history.
