2Itinerary
- Our private English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel around 08:30am.
- You will first visit Xizhou village. The village of Xizhou is best known for being the home of many Bai minority families. The Bai people have long traded in the region for centuries and made their home between the Cang Shan Mountains and the beautiful Erhai Lake. It is also a stop on the southern Silk Road between Burma, India and Chengdu, the people of Xizhou made their money selling goods for the trail and levying taxes on merchants passing through.
- Then you will go to the Three Pagodas. It is situated on the banks of Erhai Lake and was established around 850 AD. There are towering structures, and also a museum inside a converted temple. Gazing up at the pagodas, you can see their reflection in the glassy water of the lake, if you're lucky enough.
- After a lunch at local Chinese restaurant, you will get on board and set sail on Erhai Lake. Erhai Lake, named after its ear-shape, is one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China. The beautiful scenery and limpid waters of Erhai Lake are very charming and attractive. With the reflections of Cangshan Mountain in the placid water, accompanied by Bai girls in bright-colored costumes on the shore or in fishing boats, the picturesque scenery makes you feel relaxed and content.
- Then you will visit Dali Old Town. The Ancient City of Dali is 13 kilometers away from Xiaguan, Dali city, and is located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain. The Ancient City of Dali ranks in the first list of Famous Historic and Cultural Cities of China.
- Then transferred back to hotel around 1800pm.
- During today’s tour, a visit to a culture shop is organized.
