The Baoshan Hotel (Baoshan dajiudian) is located in the heart of town. It is only 2km from the airport and 5km from the railway station. Although only a three star hotel, there are a few services provided here that recommend the hotel, including a meeting service for guests at the airport and the Bavaria Beer Bar that serves the most authentic German beer in the city. There are a total of 138 rooms in the hotel, either doubles, triples or suites, and all are equipped with colour TV, IDD telephones, and attached showers. Services within the hotel include a business center (inc. secretarial service & FAX), a ticket agency (inc. flight and train booking), a small shopping arcade and a billiards room. There is a Western restaurant , that attempts European and American food, and a Chinese restaurant that serves authentic Yunnan specialties.
