New Caves Opened in Dunhuang Gansu This Winter

From this winter to spring next year, visitors to Dunhuang will not only enjoy travel to Dunhuang Mogao Caves, Mingsha Mountain, Crescent Lake and other famous attractions tickets in half-price concessions, but also local hotels are at half price. 3 to 5 new Mogao Grottoes, which are closed during hot season, will also open to public.
Dunhuang formulated a number of policies during this winter and next spring: Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake are in half price; Yadan National Geological Park and Yumen Pass are free; Mogao Grottoes will open 3 to 5 new caves; The price for three-star and above hotels in Dunhuang city will cut to half price, which means visitors will only need to spend CNY160 to 260 to book three- or four-star hotels.
Dunhuang, one of the most important cities on Silk Road, used to be one of the biggest commercial cities with flourishing trade activities. It is famous for Dunhuang Grottoes and the Dunhuang Frescoes. The World’s Cultural Heritage Mogao Grottes and Yumen Border Pass and Yang Border Pass of Great Wall are located in Dunhuang area.
Today, more and more tourists come to Dunhuang to visit ancient Silk Road.
