"Hope to be back next time."
I had no expectation except that Zhang YiMou was famous for directing the Olympics Opening Ceremony in Beijing. Haven’t heard about the show prior to being in Hangzhou. Stage was on the lake and entire production was set with bird eye view. It is better to listen to the guide carefully, because otherwise you cannot get the main plot of the legend. Our guide had excellent English language. She was also knowledgeable and had a good sense of responsibility. Hope to be back next time.

The show is one of the best shows in Hangzhou. If you have the chance to visit Hangzhou, don’t miss this show! You cannot see such a beautiful and breathtaking show in any other place of the world. All performers seemed to walk on the water. It was raining that night, but before the show, the rain stopped. We were really lucky. Our tour guide was an excellent person. She was very personable and informative. The driver Wang was also nice and helpful. Well done!

Great show! Amazing prop! Hangzhou City is really neat. It isn’t like anything that I have seen before. The singers and dancers were very good and it really looked like they were walking on water as they preformed, because the stage has been built 3 centimeters below the surface. Very creative. The show was great for our family. Food was good, but plates and glasses not clean. Joanna is very organised and has a good sense of responsibility. She went out of her way to help us when a difficult situation arose.

We all had a wonderful time in Hangzhou. I love the way the story was presented. Using new technology to tell an old story and bring us visual enjoyment. The lighting and colorful costumes impressed me most. I got to know China better. Alice had a good sense of humour and her English language was excellent. She was very efficient, flexible and considerate of our requests. We enjoyed having her as our guide and learning from her. Thanks for such a great adventure!

"An eye-opener show!"
I have seen many different shows on my travels, but this is the first one that combines nature and performance. Several hundreds of dancers and singers presented us a harmonious picture of human and nature. Using sky, water, hills as backdrop was creative. All felt real and amazing. The show on the water and the lighting gave a unique experience. I got the outside seats close to the water so the view was great. I recommend it to all.

The arrangements were great. After having dinner, we were transferred to watch the show. The magnificent background setting and artistic lighting left me an unforgettable experience. The costumes were colorful. The show made me feel like I was in a dream. Sarah was a wouderful guide becoming more like a friend. She did a good job. I always felt comforted and loved each single second. She was flexible handling all my tour wishes. The driver was also helpful and always on time.

I just went to Hangzhou for a visit and I watched the show Impressions West Lake. It was in early spring and the weather was very warm. The show was fantastic and it was staged on water of XiHu. I am very impressed with the beautiful music. Excellent trip, guide was helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. Will recommend to friends and family. The show is a Must See for all tourists.

The trip was fantastic. It was a unique outdoor performance. On the West Lake, the performance appeared incredibly beautiful and vivid. Our tour guide told us the legend, which helped us understand the show. An interesting story. His English was excellent. David could always understand our needs and likes/dislikes and responded to them. We had dinner on a boat. Very quiet and it could calm you down. I love this feeling. Thank you, China Travel Depot!

"Fantastic show"
I love the show. The show was entirely staged upon the West Lake itself. Totally different from plays performed indoors. I was impressed by the light, music and dance. I knew little about the story which was a Hangzhou legend. I think using the Lake and its surroundings as a backdrop is a great idea. The dinner was better than I expected. Our tour guide was the best. She does her job with heart and soul. Couldn’t have thought of a better person. She was very nice. Mr. Lee our driver was also very helpful and nice.

"Don't miss it if you are in China"
It was the most amazing performance I have ever seen! To see so many performers moving across the water was impressive. They ran, they danced, they did acrobatics. I feel so lucky to have witnessed such a wonderful show. Hangzhou City is beautiful, different style from Beijing or Shanghai. The dinner was good. The dishes were commonly seen, but the service was excellent. I highly recommend the show. Impression West Lake is a show that you do not want to miss!
