I went to the Forbidden City today. I gotta say it is amazing. Can you believe that the emperor of ancient China live in such a large palace? It is magnificent and it all belongs to the king. And I heard from the guide that besides this, there are still summer palace and winter palace, etc. It really surprised me. How luxurious it is!!!

"It's an interesting trip."
It is an interesting trip. I went to the Tian'anmen Square, it is large. A lot of people are visiting it, especially foreigners like us. And I heart Chinese people call us “Laowai”. I saw a picture of Chairman Mao hanging on top of the wall. I think Chinese people must respect him very much. Anyway, it is interesting. I think I know Chinese people more through this trip.

Service and attitude was marvelous and the vehicles were exceptionally clean at all times. The car you provided was great, and I felt cool and comfortable. Our guide Helen was very assertive in offering information which took us a while to get used to since we have never had a personal tour guide before. It was just different for us but she was very knowledgeable.

Dear Tom,

Hilda and I would like to express our overall satisfaction as concerns our recent Private Day Tours in Beijing as arranged by you and your colleagues at China Travel Depot.

Although we could not fully enjoy Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City because of the bitter rainy weather, our guide managed to keep us moving and we somehow managed to briefly see the Square and walk the full length of the Forbidden City. But we were reluctant to go even further north and into the mountains to view the Great Wall. The guide persuaded us to try, and we are grateful that he did so, as the Great Wall was an astonishing site, an architectural masterpiece worthy of its designation as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We also got to see the Sacred Walk and that was also very well worth seeing.

We also enjoyed the rickshaw ride through the Hutongs. The stop at the home of one of the resident families was one of the highlights of our trip.

I hope that you will find this summarization to be of some use in evaluating your personnel and in planning future tours.

Hi Tom,

Overall, I enjoyed my trip to China. This was my second guided tour, However, I believe it was my favorite. Everything was very well done starting with the airport pickup.

Your guide was always very well prepared with local knowledge, could answer almost any question that we could think of during our trip, and offered interesting information without being asked. The quality of English by each guide was sufficient for the trip and we taught them some English while they taught us some Chinese. He provided us with surveys, envelopes and privacy to complete them.

The driver in Beijing was particularly helpful and attentive, and had an excellent knowledge about the city and routes to get to all the sites.

I can really recommend China Travel Depot to everyone who wishes to visit China. I have traveled extensively and I can honestly say it was the best organized, most relaxing tour and by far the best value for money. I must congratulate China Travel Depot with their excellent service all the way.
