"Great!"
I can’t describe how much fun I had in this half day tour. The weather was fine. We started off this tour by visiting a local family. Then the hostess showed us around her community and took us to a large food market nearby. I was shocked at the sight of the huge crowds. But luckily, we found what we wanted and went back to cook. I learnt to make dumplings and no matter how hard I tried, I could not wrap it well. I really need more practice. Forget it! I and my wife had a good time.
Many thanks!

"The Host was nice."
The host was a nice guy. He spoke good English and cooked good meal. I joined him in shopping and preparing food. To be frank, I took this tour mainly to enjoy cooking Chinese food and the host tried his best to suit my needs. My daughter and my husband took part in this tour too. We had a good time together.

"A Tour of Fun"
I really appreciated the arrangements. We had a tight schedule and thankfully you help us make everything appropriate. I liked the host family who brought us to shop and gave us chance to cook myself though I cooked terribly. The tour was fun. I hope that the tour could last longer so I could have more time to learn Chinese cooking.

"Really Being a Shanghainese"
I will never forget this tour. We knew that Shanghai was not just rows of skyscrapers. Not until that I joined in the local citizens have I experienced the normal people’ lives in China. We started off early in the morning. I saw many senior citizens dancing in the public square. The Zhangs took me to the market and we prepared for our cooking. I want to call this tour a cooking class because I was taught to cook some Chinese food. The lunch was quite Chinese-style, for I always eat fast food for lunch back home.
In a word, this tour gave me a new experience!

"What an impressive tour!"
What an impressive tour! I really pictured myself being a Shanghainese. They took us to a community square in the morning where many citizens were doing exercises. Then we went to a food market and experienced the typically crowded street of China. We were invited to visit the Chinese family and we had nice chats with them. My favorite part about this tour was the lunch we had. I think the Chinese food made by Chinese family deserves to be called “authentic”.
Thanks for arranging this tour. I will choose other tour package of yours next time I visit China.

"I will Recommend this Tour to my Friends"
I meant to write this review as soon as I returned but I had to deal with some businesses. I want to thank the local family again. They spoke fluent English and were kind and patient to us. We had a good time together. I wish this tour could be a full day one so that we could better enjoy being a Shanghai citizen. I will recommend this tour to my friends.

"Good Way to Learn Cooking"
I like this half day tour very much. We spent the morning shopping and cooking with the locals. They were friendly to us. The local family cooked us some Chinese dishes and I learned how to make dumplings. We spent the rest of the afternoon in downtown Shanghai. We enjoyed ourselves that day.

"An Unforgettable Day"
I am writing to tell you how much I like this tour.
We did not have enough time to experience many Chinese cultures. So we decided to take this half day tour. The car picked us up at our hotel and we joined a local family. They took us to a square and then to the food market where we bought some food for lunch. Then we visited their apartment in central Shanghai. I was trying to learning some cooking and I just messed it up.
Anyway, we were served a nice meal. This is an unforgettable trip.

"The half day tour turns out to be quite interesting."
The half day tour turns out to be quite interesting. I and my husband have always dreamt of learning to cook Chinese food. We went to local market with a Chinese family and they taught us to cook several Chinese dishes. I even took note! When we return we are able to invite our neighbors to our house with Chinese food. Thank you for arranging the tour.

"New experience"
I really enjoyed this half day tour. We visited the local food market in the morning and I bought a lot of unique Chinese food. They tasted good! We went shopping with a local family surnamed Chen and cooked food together in their apartment. I found that Chinese citizens tend to live in apartment while we Americans like to live in a house. I think this is the best way to try the Chinese food.
I want to thank the Chens for preparing us a big meal!
