Dear Carol,
We enjoyed all of the spots. It was very, very hot during our visits, and it was nice that no one spot spent too much time outdoors in the direct sunlight. If we were outdoors, there always seems to be shade or a cooler place to rest for a short time.
The meal in Hongkong is very satisfying! Cantonese cuisine is freshness and simple cooking. Unlike foods in northern China, Cantonese food is mild and seldom spicy. Hot and sour dishes are extremely rare. Steamed shrimp dumplings are my favorite! I really want to learn cooking some by myself.
Our guide in Hongkong was very easy to get to know and we had a lot of fun with her. She wanted to make sure we were paying attention when she told us about something so I had some fun with that. When she took photos for us she'd count in English. We asked her to count in Chinese and sometimes she'd forget. We had many smiles from this.
Our tour with China Travel Depot was second to none! Our tour was custom taylored because the days we were available didn't line up with any group tours. We really liked the private tour. We were free to go at our own pace. Overall we were treated like an Emperor and Empress. We felt like VIPs as the car doors were opened and closed for us, we were always taken to the front of the line, had the best seats in the house for performances and the best views in restaurants. We will recommend China Travel Depot to all our friends!
Thanks for the memories!
Sincerely,
Bruce Houghton,
