Zhangjiajie Lotus International Airport, the second international airport in Hunan Province, has officially started construction plans completed by the end of 2015. Lotus Airport is the only international port in Wuling Mountain area.

 

It is reported that a total construction area is 59532 square meters and invested 535 million Yuan. The construction period of approximately is two years.

 

It will cost 535 million RMB and the construction will last 2 years. This international airport has 2 floors. After construction, the rush hour tourist throughput will be 5 million people per hour.

 

Zhangjiajie Lotus Airport officially opened to traffic in 1994. It is the main bridge between Wulingyuan area and the outside world. With the “Wing Mounted Flying Man” and other outdoor events carried out, Zhangjiajie attracted a lot of foreign tourists. The construction of Zhangjiajie International Airport will further facilitate the travel for tourists and promote Zhangjiajie to become an international tourism city.

 

Wulingyuan Scenic Area is made of Zhangjiajie International Park, Suoxiyu area and Tianzishan Mountain. It is by UNESCO as “World Natural Heritage List”.
