Lanzhou Weather
Lanzhou is located geographically in the center of China, and is known as “the Heart of the Mainland”. Lanzhou enjoys a hot summer without extreme temperatures, due to the high rainfall levels. In winter the city becomes overcast and gray causing people to find new pursuits to occupy themselves during the winter months. Spring is usually dry, windy and lasts only a short time; however the city does experience ‘sand showers’ which gloss the city.
The best time to go: Summer and autumn in Lanzhou are filled with a variety of colours, sights and a grand selection of fruit. Furthermore the view from either the White Tower Mountain or the Five Springs Mountain is astonishing. Both locations are great places to escape from the daily grind, as they overlook the urban sprawl, and offer a great bird’s eye view of the city.
