By Train

Railway: Qufu Railway Station, which can be reached by Bus No.5 lies four kilometers southeast of the city center, can be reached by Bus No.5.

High-speed Railway: The bullet trains shuttling between Beijing and Shanghai now whiz into Qufu. Tourists can take Bus No.K01 to arrive at Qufu East Railway Station.

 

By air

There is no airport in Qufu, so visitors need to arrive at the Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport first. Jinan's international Airport does not open its shuttle bus line in Qufu, but visitors can till easily get there by long-distance bus or high-speed trains. Moreover, Jining-Qufu Airport, with airlines to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou is only 85 kilometers away from Qufu, which can also help visitors getting there.

By Taxi

Taxis are easily recognizable by the‘Taxi’ sign on the roof of the car. In Qufu, you may easily hail a taxi in the street. The fare for up to four passengers in a taxi is around RMB6 for the call charge including the first two kilometers. If you keep a taxi waiting, the charge is about RMB1.3 per five minutes. Fares increase in the evenings.

By Bus

Qufu is quite small and easy to navigate.The public transport system in this city is quite convenient, taking travelers from one part of town to the other very effectively. Tourists can take Bus No.1 which passes by the Temple of Confucius, the Kong Family Mansion and the Cemetery of Confucius. The charge is between 1to 2 yuan depending on the distance. Tourist can also choose to use a ‘regular’ chip card like the locals.

Bicycle rickshaws or horse carriages are also good ways to hang around the city. Tourists with a larger group may opt for a horse carriage. Be sure to bargain hard in the peak season.
