Many visitors will take home with them the three major treasures that Qufu boasts. They are Beitie (rubbings from a stone inscription), Nishan Ink Slab (made of stone) and Kaidiao (a wood-carving made from the Kaishu tree). The best places to buy are at the entrances to “three Kongt”, the three major sights.Always remember that those souvenirs will cost you much less, if you bargain hard. Visitors can also buy all the tree as a package in some major cultural relics and big shopping malls. Usually the package will cost RMB100 to 300.
If the weather doesn’t permit you to shop outside, you may step inside the department stores and enjoy the indoor shopping. On Fuxing Street locates the Baisheng Commercial District. You can find Baisheng Shopping Mall, Qufu Cultural relic stores, Hualian Maison and other shopping places. Goods in the district are usually of high quality and a little bit higher price, but you’ll find them worth it.
