Transportation
Traffic condition is not very good in Guiyang. The vehicles do not always follow the rules: Cabs will come over wherever you wave; buses are constantly running very fast. There tends to get traffic jams around center fountain of the city during the rush hours, but it remains normal for the rest of the day. Visitors there should avoid going out at peak periods.
Attractions worth seeing:
The armor Xiu building is the landmark of Guiyang. Its nightscape is particularly breathtaking.
Street of Snacks and Night Fair of Hequn Road
Even if you are pressed for time, you do not want to choose other attractions over the snacks and night market of this street.
Yang Ming Hole, Yang Ming Temple
These are the places where celebrity Wang Yangming used to stay. Yang Ming Hole is located in Xiuwen and it’s a little bit far. Given inadequate time, you can try the Yang Ming Temple in the downtown area instead and have tea in there at night.
Huaxi
Huaxi, well known throughout the world, is the most popular scenic spot in Guiyang. Huaxi region covers not only the area of the park, but also the Huaxi reservoir and rural restaurants in the vicinity.
Best Time to visit Guiyang
Guiyang is the subtropics moderate climate with cool summer and warm winter. The air is humid and there is no sandy wind all the year around. The mild climate is the pride of Guiyang. It’s better to go there between March and October when you may catch up with many traditional festivals of the Miao nationality.
1 Guiyang is fit for summer and winter holidays. But due to the instability of the weather on the plateau, you’d better carry along the rain gear whenever you head out.
2 Temperature in Guiyang is low both in the morning and at night and it’s even lower after rain. Temperature in the scenic region is relatively low as well. Windproof overcoat could be needed at any time.

1 Be careful when traveling across some dangerous areas like steep slope, dense wood and deep holes. Go along with others and do not act alone in these dangerous areas
2 Take care of the cultural relics and historic sites. Travelers should take care of cultural relics, historic interest, flowers and plants wherever they go. Do not paint or carve on them.
