Tourists are advised to do these in Turpan:
1. Wander in the Grape Valley and walk under the grape arbor to enjoy the view of taste pearly grapes.

3. Touch the Mountain of Flames to experience the feeling of China's highest temperature. Here are some tips for tourists to bear in mind:

1. Grape Valley
Turpan Grape Valley is located in the northeast of the Turpan city, and in the center of Turpan Basin. It is approximately 184 km away from Urumqi City.

Karez underground irrigation works are created by ancient people in Xinjiang, and it had already formed a prototype as early as the Han Dynasty which is about 2,000 years ago. After that, it had been spreaded to Central Asia and Persia. There is a total of 1100 qanat multi-channel in Turpan region, which is the source of local people’s life.

Gaochang Ancient City is located about 40 kilometers in the east of Turpan city, which is known as Chang'an (the ancient capital of China which is now known as Xi’an) in the Western Regions of China.
